Nijat Muradzada will continue his research in doctoral level at the University of Glasgow

Deputy Director, Nijat Muradzada, will pursue a doctoral degree at the University of Glasgow within the "State Program for Increasing the International Competitiveness of the Higher Education System in the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2019-2023".

His research will cover the state-centered transition to a green economy in Azerbaijan. Muradzada's research is considered to be the first work in this field in Azerbaijan, both in terms of the topic and theoretical and methodological aspects.


Nijat Muradzada received a postgraduate degree (MSc) in Global Economy from the University of Glasgow, where he graduated with Distinction and ranked first in his cohort. During his studies, he received the merit-based "Chancellors Award Scholarship" from the University. His essays and dissertation are kept in the University library as exemplary scientific works. Previously, Muradzada completed an undergraduate degree in Business Administration and Management at Istanbul University in the top three. He took part in internship programs at the Central Bank of Azerbaijan, the Central Office of Yapi Kredi Bank in Istanbul, and the Baku Stock Exchange during his studies. Nijat Muradzada coauthored and authored two books, five research papers published in peer-reviewed journals, two conference materials, and a series of opinion articles published in the national and international press.
