Dr. Khatai Aliyev
Director
Khatai Aliyev is an associate professor at the Azerbaijan State University of Economics (UNEC) and the founding director of the UNEC Empirical Research Center. He is also co-founder and director of ASERC LLC and the editor-in-chief of the "ASERC Journal of Socio-Economic Studies." His research interests include welfare economics, life satisfaction, public policy, and empirical modelling. Khatai holds an undergraduate degree (BSc) in Economics from Qafqaz University, a postgraduate degree (MSc) in Economics from Eastern Mediterranean University and a PhD from the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences. Currently, he is enrolled in the Doctor of Sciences program (D.Sc.) at UNEC. Having a long-standing teaching experience, Khatai also took part in international mobility programs at Indiana University Bloomington (Fullbright), University of Bologna and University of Dunaujvaros (Erasmus+ HE Staff Mobility Program). Khatai authored 2 books, 46 research papers published in peer-reviewed journals, 5 conference materials.

Dr. Shahriyar Mukhtarov
Research Fellow
Shahriyar Mukhtarov is an associate professor of the Department of Economics at Vistula University. His research interests include energy economics, sustainable development, monetary economics, and building and applying econometric models for policy purposes. Shahriyar completed his postgraduate degree (MA) and PhD in Banking at Marmara University. Currently, he is enrolled in the Doctor of Sciences program (D.Sc.) at UNEC. Previously, besides working as the head of the Department of Economics at Baku Engineering University, he has served on many editorial boards and received awards from the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS), the Islamic World Organization for Science, Education and Culture (ICESCO) and the International Engineering and Technology Institute (IETI). Delivering lectures on Research Methods, Microeconomics, Macroeconomics and Monetary Policy, Shahriyar authored 2 books, 48 research papers published in peer-reviewed journals, and 18 conference materials.

PhD (c), Emiliya Ahmadova
Research Fellow
Emiliya Ahmadova is a lecturer at the Azerbaijan State University of Economics (UNEC) and an adjunct lecturer at ADA University. Her research interests include consumer behaviour, Islamic consumer behaviour and marketing, and student motivation. Emiliya holds an undergraduate degree (BA) from Azerbaijan State University of Economics (UNEC) and postgraduate degrees (MA) from Qafqaz University, Rome Business School and George Washington University. Currently, she is a PhD candidate at the Azerbaijan State University of Economics (UNEC). Besides her teaching experience in marketing, she is a reviewer at the Journal of Islamic Marketing. She is also working as an expert in the "Development of the New Karabakh University Model" project funded by UNEC. Emiliya was previously a project coordinator at the NATO International School of Azerbaijan. Emiliya authored five research papers published in peer-reviewed journals and 12 conference materials.

MSc, Nijat Muradzada
Research Fellow
Nijat Muradzada is a Lecturer of Business Studies at the Azerbaijan State University of Economics (UNEC). His current research explores entrepreneurial activities of the state, policy-driven green transformation, and mission-oriented innovation. Besides his academic work, Muradzada is closely engaged in research administration and academic affairs at the UNEC Empirical Research Center. Nijat Muradzada holds a postgraduate degree (MSc) in Global Economy from the University of Glasgow, where he graduated with Distinction and ranked first in his cohort based on GPA. Previously he completed an undergraduate degree (BA) in Business Administration at Istanbul University with Distinction in the top three. He took part in internship programs at the Central Bank of Azerbaijan, the Central Office of Yapi Kredi Bank in Istanbul, and the Baku Stock Exchange during his studies. Nijat Muradzada authored one book, four research papers published in peer-reviewed journals, two conference materials, and a series of opinion articles published in periodicals, mainly in the Azerbaijan State News Agency (AZERTAC).
